Why did you decide to do an apprenticeship?

I have always taken a keen interest in HR, but without much knowledge or experience in the sector I thought that an apprenticeship would be the best way for me acquire the relevant skills whilst working within the environment. It is a great opportunity as you are able to gain knowledge and support from an experienced team which you can carry beyond your apprenticeship whilst also receiving a qualification at the end.

What have you learnt from doing an apprenticeship?

From doing an apprenticeship, I have been able to learn and gain the skills that are valuable to any working environment and further my understanding of how a business works. I have also improved my personal and social skills and gained a new confidence within a working environment that I had no experience in.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

In the future I hope to further progress within a career in HR. I thoroughly enjoy learning the skills and structures within my job role and I hope to strengthen them after my apprenticeship. I would like to increase my knowledge and responsibilities and work towards having a position within the HR team to reflect that. I will always see myself progressing within HR, as my skills and experience continue to grow, I would like a position within HR to reflect that.
