Why join our Apprenticeship programme?

The Early Careers team take pride and effort into designing and offering a powerful apprenticeship programme which enables you to learn, develop and grow.

Over the last two years we have recruited a total of 18 apprentices and 11 have been offered a permanent or FTC contract with us at Catalyst and 99% of them have successfully completed their apprenticeship and achieved their qualificationHere are some of the benefits of why you should join our Apprenticeship Programme:  

Locations
Our Head Office is based in Ealing Broadway, easily accessed via public transport such as; Ealing Broadway Station only 10 minutes-walk which has the central and district line, as well as GWR. There are a number of bus stops nearby to the office heading towards West Ealing or Acton and beyond. We have limited parking spaces, however street parking is available.  

Our second largest office base for Apprentices is Houghton Regis, Luton which has a large car park and driving to and from this location is recommended.  

Annual Leave
We offer a generous annual leave scheme of 25 days per year, if you continue to stay with us as a permanent member of staff this will then increase to 27 days and raise to a maximum of 30 days with each year of service.  

You are also entitled to an extra 8 bank holidays per year and the business closes for the duration of Christmas and New Year. You are also entitled to two paid volunteering days each year.  

Mentoring and Buddying 
As an Apprentice, you will be allocated a member of the Early Careers team who will mentor you throughout your programme. You will have regular tailored mentoring sessions (every 2 – 4 weeks) where you will be set SMART goals, you will receive coaching and feedback to help you grow and support with your qualification to achieve your qualification by the end of your contract.  

Subject to performance and progress you will also be supported to apply for internal vacancies to ensure you can succeed within a career at Catalyst.  

If this isn’t enough, you will also have a line manager and an allocated buddy in your team who will be your ‘go-to’ person in times of need, support and general advice. You will meet with both colleagues regularly.  

Apprentice Community 
At Catalyst we recruit a minimum of 10 apprentices each year, with a variety of different roles and qualifications we like to ensure you are there for one another by forming an ‘apprentice community’. This includes regular team building activities, shadowing opportunities to understand each other’s roles, bespoke training courses and much more.  

Shadowing  
An important part to your Apprenticeship Programme is to learn as much as possible, with your qualification, your role and the wider organisation you’re working for. Typical working hours are 35 per week and this will include; studying, shadowing colleagues / teams and undertaking duties in your role. This blend enables you with the tools and knowledge to perform to a high standard, as well as understanding the wider organisation and opportunities.
