Students in Ealing were given the chance to find out more about apprenticeships at Catalyst, thanks to two of our current apprentices.
Linard Laith from Home Ownership and Alice Fawcett from Housing pre-recorded their own ‘careers talk’ videos, which were shown to Year 9, 10 and 11 students at Dormers Well High School.
The videos explain why Linard and Alice applied for an apprenticeship scheme and what a typical day’s like for them both.
Linard told the students: “There are so many benefits of apprenticeships that people underestimate. You’re gaining a qualification and learning something new while getting income. I feel that people should take advantage of the opportunities that are available now.”
Alice added: “As an apprentice, you’re learning new things all the time. It’s not just admin based for me, so you get a really good understanding of how the business is run.”
