Jo Noakes

Resident Scheme Manager

What’s a typical day for you?

No two days are the same being a resident scheme manager in leasehold retirement housing, which makes it an interesting and varied job to do. My days consists of office-based admin work, interacting with contractors and residents and making sure the site runs smoothly.

What motivates you in your role?

I have always strived to do my best for my residents and the team. There have been many changes over the years and whilst challenging at times I have still given 100%. What can seem a minor thing to me is a huge difference to an elderly resident and can make such a big difference to their day.

Do you feel supported at work?

Being part of a small team is great as we support each other when required and I have always felt supported by the area managers. To work in a site-based role you do need to be able to self motivate, but I know if I need anyone, they are only a phone call or email away. I appreciated how supported I felt when I had to take time of due to cancer in early 2020 and was able to still carry on my job role effectively when I came back.

What does the future hold for you?

Life is what you make it, and this company has enabled me to feel part of the team. I’m looking forward to the future and hope we go on to do more amazing work in all areas of the business and make a real difference to all our customers and clients of all ages.
