The Learning and Organisational Development team works across the whole of Catalyst to provide an environment in which everyone can thrive and flourish. We want to give everyone the space to learn new skills, enhance knowledge and develop, so you can maximise your potential.

Our learning centres around the 70:20:10: model which means that up to 70% of learning comes through experience and on the job, 20% comes from social learning with colleagues with shadowing and mentoring and 10% through formal learning such as classroom training or online courses.

Mentoring Programme

We have our own internal Mentoring Programme available for all employees. Mentoring is a relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development. The mentors are our very own Heads Of and Directors sharing their experience and knowledge to help colleagues (mentees) grow and learn in the areas they want to develop in.

On-boarding Programme

It’s important to introduce all new starters to the business, so we lay on a variety of activities within your first 6-weeks of joining. You will learn and hear from our CEO about Catalyst Strategy & Vision, receive a warm welcome from HR who will detail our extensive benefits programme and more. This programme aims to make sure that all new starters will feel prepared to start their role at Catalyst. We want new colleagues to the business to feel included, valued and motivated.

Training

We design and develop an exciting training offer suitable for all colleagues based on their needs with some courses being delivered by external professionals. You will learn new skills, upskill and enhance on your behaviours at work. Courses include; project management, presentation skills, advanced writing skills, coaching for results.

Learning Management System

We have an interactive online learning platform which holds all of our mandatory compliance modules plus, an extensive library of professional development, equality & diversity, Microsoft package modules for you to learn at a time that suits you.

Professional Memberships

Catalyst recognises the importance of professional and individual career development to create a skilled and professional workforce. All Catalyst employees receive one free professional membership related to their role annually.

Professional Qualifications

Studying a professional qualification is a fantastic way to advance your learning and knowledge within your career. We recognise the importance of upskilling and embedding a strong learning culture at Catalyst.

Leadership & Management

We have a number of different programmes for all levels of leadership. Each programme equips and enables our leaders to be the best at what they do. With a blended approach to learning we have coaching, shadowing, classroom and eLearning throughout.

Team Away Days

Team Away Days are a great way of bringing the team together and building on relationships. The day typically consists of the morning spent focussing on topics like; our values, corporate strategy, start, stop continue exercise with the other half of the day having some fun. This can be either; volunteering or a fun team building activity.

We all need to support, promote and talk about wellbeing both in and out of work and our in-depth Wellbeing Programme at Catalyst will provide you with all the tools and resources to support you. We’ve created 5 pillars of wellbeing which, when working well together, will help you feel happier and healthier.
