The Learning and Organisational Development works across the whole of Catalyst to provide an environment in which everyone can thrive and flourish. We want to give everyone the space to learn new skills, enhance knowledge and develop, so you can maximise your potential.

Our aim is to provide the support you need so that you can make the best possible contribution to the success of our organisation, our vision and our future – helping to shape a culture that embodies our values and promotes high performance and professionalism in all that we do.

We have a number of learning initiatives available for all levels across Catalyst with a mix of eLearning as well as live workshops and programmes delivered at our offices in Ealing Broadway, Houghton Hall and virtually, of course.

We also know how important wellbeing is to your overall happiness and effectiveness at work. We make wellbeing a priority across the business and want to work with you, and colleagues, to deliver an engaging and uplifting wellbeing programme.

Mentoring Programme

We have our own internal Mentoring Programme available for all colleagues. Mentoring is a relationship between two people with the goal of professional and personal development. The mentors are our very own Heads Of and Directors sharing their experience and knowledge to help colleagues (mentees) grow and learn in the areas they want to develop in.

Onboarding Programme

It’s important to introduce all new starters to the business, so we lay on a variety of activities within your first six weeks of joining. You will learn and hear from our CEO about our strategy and vision and receive a warm welcome from HR, who will detail our extensive benefits programme and more. You’ll also be invited to a workshop all about building healthy digital habits. This programme aims to make sure that all new starters will feel prepared to start their role at Catalyst. We want new colleagues to the business to feel included, valued and motivated.

Training

We design and develop an exciting training offer suitable for all colleagues based on their needs with some courses being delivered by external professionals. You will learn new skills, upskill and enhance on your behaviours at work. Courses include; Unconscious Bias, Adapting to Change, Building Healthy Digital Habits and management development.

We also provide bespoke team training across the business that includes Team Dynamics and Team Away Days as well as personality profiling and 360 Feedback opportunities.

Learning Management System

We have an interactive online learning platform, which holds all of our mandatory compliance modules. We also have an extensive library of professional development, equality and diversity and Microsoft package modules for you to learn at a time that suits you.

Professional memberships and subscriptions

Catalyst recognises the importance of professional and individual career development to create a skilled and professional workforce. All Catalyst colleagues receive one free professional membership or subscription related to their role annually.

Professional qualifications

We recognise the importance of upskilling and embedding a strong learning culture at Catalyst. Studying a professional qualification is a fantastic way to advance your learning and knowledge within your career.

Leadership and management

We have a number of different programmes for all levels of leadership. Each programme equips and enables our leaders to be the best at what they do. With a blended approach to learning we have coaching, shadowing, classroom and eLearning throughout.

Team Away Days

Team Away Days are a great way of bringing the team together and building on relationships. The day typically consists of the morning spent focussing on topics like; our values, corporate strategy, start, stop continue exercise with the other half of the day having some fun. This can be either; volunteering or a fun team building activity.

Wellbeing

We all need to support, promote and talk about wellbeing both in and out of work and our in-depth Wellbeing Programme at Catalyst will provide you with all the tools and resources to support you. We’ve created 5 pillars of wellbeing which, when working well together, will help you feel happier and healthier. We host events with external speakers, mark national days and share materials to help you manage your wellbeing and the wellbeing of your team. We also have Mental Health First Aiders within the business who have been trained to listen, non-judgmentally, and provide signposting to support to colleagues who need it.
