Over the past year, recruitment has still been a large part of Catalyst. Here we take a look at some of the measures put in place to fully maintain our recruitment efforts during the pandemic.
The Covid-19 pandemic hasn’t put a stop to our work acquiring new talent. As soon as we learned of the government guidance to help prevent the spread of the virus, we moved all in-person interviews to virtual interviews.
As a result, we have fully modernised our recruitment methods and can offer a safer and more flexible option for our interviews. This has helped and will continue to help our business flourish and grow while tackling the unpredictable challenges during the pandemic.
To ensure our recruitment is as forward thinking as it can be, we recently introduced video-applications to some of our recruitment campaigns. We first introduced this method of hiring with the Kickstart scheme and we’re monitoring its success through a feedback survey. With positive results, we plan to expand this method into more recruitment campaigns during 2021.
Our colleagues are our business and their safety is paramount. At the beginning of the pandemic, we made sure all our colleagues had the right technology to work from home and keep in touch with each other. We also made sure that the environment was as safe as possible for colleagues who had to come in to our offices.
Diversity and inclusion
Having a diverse workforce increases innovation and productivity; we want to attract, hire and retain the best talent. We have taken steps to reach as many potential candidates as possible by using more diverse job boards. Find out more about our commitment to diversity and inclusion.
We have become even more collaborative by introducing daily communications through virtual chats and regular calls between colleagues. In doing so, we have ensured new colleagues are fully prepared when starting their role remotely.
By constantly improving, we aim to deliver a seamless recruitment process and a professional introduction to new starters. Could you be our next new colleague?
